MARTIN FROST FOUNDATION
The famous clarinetist, Martin Fröst, launched the Fröst Foundation this spring in his native Sweden before doing the same in Beijing, Paris, New York and London during the year, 2019. The foundation’s mission is to give children and young people all over the world the possibility of receiving a musical education, accessing good quality instruments and developing classical music for future generations.
ECOLE NORMALE CORTOT
The Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris-Alfred Cortot is a higher education institute for music that still remains entirely private today.
The institute’s objectives are:
– to train well-rounded musicians, not only capable of excelling in a particular musical instrument or singing or in a specialty such as composition, but also of possessing a good skills in all the essential complementary disciplines, such as music theory, analysis, history of music, and so on.
– to effectively prepare students for the particularities and demands of a musical career
– to prepare students for international competitions
– to facilitate the professional integration of students
DEMOS
Démos (a social programme for musical and orchestral education) is a cultural outreach project aimed at children from urban and rural areas that have few cultural institutions.
Initiated and coordinated by the Cité de la musique – Philharmonie de Paris, Démos is now deployed throughout France thanks to partnerships with regional and local authorities.
