      Powell Flutes Boston, a leading producer of world-renowned flutes and piccolos, is hiring for the position of Handmade Body Maker. We are seeking a candidate with at least 3-5 years of flute body making experience.

      For over 90 years, our flute makers have combined tradition and innovation with collaboration and creativity. With over 55 employees from 13 different nations, the result is a global, dynamic environment dedicated to quality and continuous improvement. This commitment to excellence creates world-class instruments that have made Powell the gold standard in the flute industry worldwide.

      Projects

      Body makers create the foundation of our exceptional flutes. They are responsible for precious metal tube preparation and treatment, assembly and installation of the following components: ribs, posts, boxes, and barrels, as well as fitting of the steels. The position demands expertise in gold and silver metalworking, soldering, and a strong understanding of geometry and dimensions, attention to detail, excellent time management skills, a high degree of manual dexterity, patience, and openness to feedback.

      The position is Full-time (40 hours per week) and is based in Maynard, Massachusetts at our workshop.

      Required profile

      The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of experience making Handmade flutes in precious metals. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

        This “business-to-business” sales professional should be able to prospect target accounts for new

        business, maintain an existing territory, as well as establish and work with partners; achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company visions and mission and establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area.

         

        The Division Sales Manager must be comfortable selling musical instruments to qualified dealers and cultivating relationships with musicians, educators, and prospective customers. Experience in outside sales is a must

        Required profile

        Responsibilities

        1. Responsible for New Business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing
        2. Sell the full range of Buffet Crampon USA musical instrument portfolio
        3. Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle
        4. Conducts one-on-one and group sales presentations
        5. Provide account management to an existing territory
        6. Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports
        7. Regular interaction and communication with educators & musicians within the territory
        8. Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads
        9. Minimum 2 weeks travel within the sales territory per month required as well as required travel for industry and partner events (70-90%)
